On June 8th, 1977 in American Atlanta, Georgia, American rapper, fashion designer, and record producer Kanye Omari West was born to parents Ray and Donda West. He was brought up by highly educated mother, who was a professor, in a middle-class family. Since he was very young, he had a natural talent for creativity and poetry. At the age of seven, he began rapping, and decided to take music more seriously. At the age of 20 Kanye decided to drop out of college in order to pursue music full time.

With his mother’s support he began as a modest producer before working on Jay-album Z's The Blueprint. After that, Kanye began to gain popularity and collaborate with accomplished artists like Ludacris, Janet Jackson, and Alicia Keys. However it was not until the early 2000s that Kanye’s dream of becoming a rapper would be realized. He went on to produce quality hip-hop music, including The College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and many more later. His stellar discography saw him win 22 Grammys among many others.

In his personal life, Kanye married Kim Kardashian in 2014 and went on to have four children with her but their marriage did not last and the couple split in 2022.
