Kim Kardashian is an American socialite born on October 21, 1980. The model first came into notice as a close friend and stylist of Paris Hilton but gained wider attention after her inappropriate video that was shot in 2003 with her then-boyfriend Ray J leaked in 2007. While she came for a family made famous by her well-known father and lawyer Robert Kardashian, she did have a few break out moments along the way. Her skill as a stylist landed her a spot on TV’s The Simple Life. She appeared on the show between 2003 and 2006. In 2006, Kim Kardashian and her sisters, Kourtney and Khloé, opened their first DASH store in their hometown of Calabasas, California with came with Kim’s love for reselling. 

A larger part of Kim’s fame was credited to her reality TV show Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which gave a no-filter insight on the public lives of the Kardashian clan. The show went on to bag multiple People’s Choice Awards for best reality TV show. 

Along the way of many failed ventures, Kim eventually found her footing in makeup as she launched KKW Beauty in 2017 and simultaneously delved into shapewear by launching SKIMS in 2019. She has since made her mark as a successful businesswoman as she hold a net worth of $1.7billion.
