Prince Harry candidly spoke about his use of psychedelics in order to deal with his past traumas.

In a sit down with trauma expert Gabor Maté, the Duke of Sussex shared how using recreational drugs became his source of comfort.

"It was the cleaning of the windscreen, the removal of life’s filters — these layers of filters — it removed it all for me and brought me a sense of relaxation, relief, comfort, a lightness that I managed to hold back for a period of time," he shared.

"I started doing it recreationally and then started to realize how good it was for me," Harry added.

"I would say it is one of the fundamental parts of my life that changed me and helped me deal with the traumas and the pains of the past."

"They’re unlocking so much of what we’ve suppressed."

This admission was not new considering that Meghan Markle’s husband admitted to using cocaine and marijuana in his bombshell memoir Spare, which hit shelves in January.

In the book the royal shared how the British tabloids portrayed his struggles with King Charles III being dubbed a "harried single dad coping with a drug-addled child" when he was just 17.

He wrote that his first brush with drugs came "at someone’s country house, during a shooting weekend."

"I’d been offered a line, and I’d done a few more since," Harry shared adding that the drug use not "much fun."

The former military pilot recalled that while coke didn’t "make [him] particularly happy," it did "make [him] feel different," which was his "main goal."
