Joe Alwyn opens up about Taylor Swift breakup year after split

Joe Alwyn has finally spilled the beans on his past relationship with Taylor Swift.

Since the couple’s breakup news broke out many conspiracy theories have been trying to figure out what triggered the split.

Amid all these, the actor opened up about his love affair with the Midnights crooner.

In a new interview with Sunday Times Alwyn said, “I would hope that anyone and everyone can empathize and understand the difficulties that come with the end of a long, loving, fully committed relationship of over six and a half years. That is a hard thing to navigate.”

Alwyn further clarified the main issue, “What is unusual and abnormal in this situation is that, one week later, it’s suddenly in the public domain, and the outside world is able to weigh in.”

Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn dated in 2016 privately after she made a grand return following her feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. 

Later Alwyn, who called it quits with Swift, wrote in a statement, “As everyone knows, we together — both of us, mutually — decided to keep the more private details of our relationship private. It was never something to commodify, and I see no reason to change that now.”
