Pete Davidson is poised to return to Saturday Night Live less than a year after leaving the show.
On May 6, the 29-year-old comedian will host the event for the first time.
The comedian had previously spent eight years on the esteemed American show, beginning as a featured player in 2014 when he was still relatively unknown.
Pete watched his value soar as he soon established himself as a regular on the programme.
While dating Kim Kardashian last year, he said his tearful goodbyes to the show.
He made the decision to end things because of his ongoing dispute with Kim's ex-husband Kanye West.
Pete claimed in the series' last episode that he had never anticipated the course that his life and profession would follow.
At the time, it was anticipated that he would marry reality star Kim and live happily ever after, but the unexpected union only lasted a year. Now, it's anticipated that Pete will return to Saturday Night Live.
A source told Page Six : "He’s very excited to go back.[Leaving the show] has been a change of pace for him, but in a good way.
"Lorne [Michaels, the SNL boss] has always been a huge supporter of Pete and his creative vision and Pete thinks the world of Lorne."
Last year, during his farewell address, Pete was quite complimentary of Lorne and joked that she had given him a sock as a gift to set him free in a Harry Potter-related joke.
