Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have reportedly ended their relationship after six years of dating.

A source close to the couple revealed to People the news but did not disclose the reason for their breakup.

Notably the songstress, who is currently on her sold-out Eras tour, has not been spotted with the actor, which only adds more to the speculation considering it was reported that the actor was going to join his girlfriend.

Throughout their relationship, the couple kept details of their love-life private with the most recent rumours about them being engaged.

"If I had a pound for every time I think I've been told I've been engaged, then I'd have a lot of pound coins," Alwyn previously told WSJ. Magazine.

"I mean, the truth is, if the answer was yes, I wouldn't say, and if the answer was no, I wouldn't say," he added.

Swift first began the Boy Erased star in 2016 and a source previously shared to the publication that she is "very happy" in their relationship.

"He is her rock. Their relationship is mature and wonderful," the source added.

Their bond also bled into Swift's music as the duo collaborated during the pandemic on her 2020 sister albums Folklore and Evermore.

Alwyn co-wrote songs like Betty and Exile from Folklore as well as Champagne Problems, Evermore and Coney Island from Evermore.

Their collaboration culminated into a Grammy Awards win after Folklore ended up taking home the 2021 Grammy for Album of the Year.

In her acceptance speech Swift made special mention of her man, "Joe is the first person that I play every single song that I write, and I had the best time writing songs with you in quarantine."
