Liam Payne 'desperate' for One Direction reunion amid 'stagnant' solo career

Liam Payne is turning to his former pursuit for salvation.

The 29-year-old singer is reportedly desperate for a One Direction reunion in an attempt to relaunch his failing career.

For the unversed, the pop star was in the British-Irish band with members, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, and Harry Styles.

“Liam is desperate to get back on the road with the boys. His solo career hasn't remained as successful as he hoped it would, and work has become stagnant for him,” a source told Ok! Magazine.

“In contrast, he can see how well Harry is doing and he'd love that level of stardom for himself,” they explained.

Payne, who’s currently dating Instagram influencer Kate Cassidy, recently reunited with Tomlinson at the premiere of his documentary titled, All Of Those Voices.

The Strip That Down singer invited backlash after he made upsetting remarks about Malik in a podcast with Logan Paul last year.

He alleged that not only the band was formed around him but he also outsold all his former bandmates with his solo debut single.

The source revealed, “He knows he's somewhat fallen out of favor with the public, and believes the only way he'll be able to win back his fans is with a One Direction reunion.”
