Lewis Capaldi has given a somber update on his health struggles.
The 26-year-old singer revealed that he’s got vertigo during the special screening of his upcoming Netflix documentary at Glasgow’s Everyman Cinema.
“I'm alive and living. I've not been very well,” he shared. “I've got vertigo. So I'm spinning but I'm smiling. I'm not dying so it's good. I did think I was for a couple of days but luckily I'm here.”
Vertigo is a condition in which your surrounding feels like they are constantly moving or spinning.
The Before You Go singer revealed during an Instagram Live that he had recently been diagnosed with Tourette’s syndrome and explained that he went public with the information because he “didn't want people to think he was taking cocaine.”
The condition is characterized by a combination of involuntary movements and noises, commonly called tics.
“My shoulder twitches when I am excited, happy, nervous or stressed. It is something I am living with. It is not as bad as it looks,” the Scottish musician assured.
“It’s a new thing. I haven’t really learnt much about it. I got Botox in my shoulder to stop it moving but I'm learning new ways to cope all the time,” he added.
