Prince Andrew begs King Charles III for more royal roles amid eviction threat

Prince Andrew stands to lose £250,000 a year after King Charles III made some notable changes to the monarch

King Charles III has decided to exclude Prince Andrew from royal duties owing to his past sex scandal

Prince Andrew is seeking more royal responsibilities as part of his negotiations with King Charles III to vacate his Royal Lodge in Windsor.

As per sources, Andrew, who was forced into a more subtle role, has reportedly been pleading with his brother King Charles for more royal responsibilities arguing that he "deserves to still be treated like a senior royal".

However, Andrew’s case fell on deaf ears as the monarch flat out refused the requests telling him that "there is no chance of that happening."

This development comes hot in the heels of reports that the King plans to reduce the royal family income.

This puts Andrew in a pickle as he stands to lose £250,000 a year in funding as well as his Windsor residence, which he pays £250 a week for the sprawling 30-room mansion that includes 98 acres of land and an expansive swimming pool.

The fall of Prince Andrew

The Duke’s difficult financial position comes as a result of selling his £19 million ski chalet in order to cover the exorbitant costs associated to his explosive sex scandal involving Virginia Roberts Guiffre and Jeffrey Epstein.

The backlash from the scandal has seemingly left the disgraced royal unable to pay for current lifestyle which is why King Charles reportedly gave him the boot and instead of his Windsor residence is being offered a five-bedroom residence at Frogmore Cottage, which the monarch had kicked Prince Harry and Meghan Markle out from.
