Sam Brinton, ex Joe Biden staffer arrested for stealing woman's suitcase

Joe Biden’s former nuclear waste staffer has been arrested after stealing a woman’s airport luggage for what is now the second time.

Sam Brinton was pictured in their mugshot after being charged with felony grand larceny.

Footage from a Las Vegas courtroom revealed them being set at a $15,000 bail. 

This comes after the non-binary official reportedly snatched a $2,325 Vera Bradley suitcase from the baggage claim from the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport and when confronted by police a month later, they initially denied stealing the bag, insisting that the suitcase contained their clothes. 

According to court filing, Brinton told police that they realized they took the wrong bag when they opened for find someone else’s contents.

Thinking that the owner would accuse them of stealing, they emptied the suitcase and dumped the women’s clothes and belongings in the drawers of the hotel room, citing the action to be a consequence of travel exhaustion.

However, when the theft was first reported police reviewed the footage to find that Brinton grabbed the luggage from the carousel and proceeded to remove the ID tag that contained the owner’s details.

They were later captured on camera using the same suitcase on at least two trips.
