BTS Jin is ready for military services

Jin, the vocalist for BTS, is preparing for basic military training.

Jin, the first member of the band to join, made fun of his new haircut before leaving for the military on the Korean app Weverse, saying it was "cuter" than he had anticipated.

According to South Korean legislation, all physically fit men must serve in the military for 18 to 21 months before turning 30. The well-known band member's duty will start on Tuesday because he turned 30 on December 4.

Sungdeuk Son, the band's music performance director, posted the image to his Instagram page as well with the caption: "I hope you have a healthy trip and be a precious time in your life..."

Big Hit Music, the band's record company, asked fans not to visit Jin while he was serving in the military in a post on Weverse and pledged to keep them informed while he was away.

"Jin will fulfill his required time with the military by enlisting in the army. Please note that we will not be holding any kind of official event on the day of his recruitment," their note reads.

"The entrance ceremony is a time to be observed by military personnel and their families only. In order to prevent any issues that might occur from crowding, we ask fans to please refrain from visiting the site. Instead, we ask you to keep your heartwarming words of support and farewell in your hearts."

"We ask for your continued love and support for Jin until he finishes his military service and comes back," it stated in its ending.

"Our company will also strive to provide every support he needs during this time."
