Everything to know about Margot Robbie Barbie movie

Much awaited live-action remake of the beloved cartoon, Barbie is coming to our big screens next summer.

Greta Gerwig’s directorial will star Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in the lead roles of Barbie and Ken, respectively.

According to Movie Insider, the plot of the movie revolves around “a Barbie doll living in Barbieland is expelled from the world for not being perfect enough, too eccentric and not fitting the usual mold. She goes on an adventure in the real world and by the time she returns to Barbieland to save it, she has gained the realization that perfection comes on the inside, not the outside, and that the key to happiness is belief in oneself.”

According to The New York Times' journalist, the Barbie movie will feature multiple Barbies and Kens including, Issa Rae and Hari Nef as Barbies, while the other Kens will supposedly be played by Simu Liu and Sex Education's Ncuti Gatwa, among others.

Many paparazzi pictures have been unveiled from the set of the flick, featuring Robbie and Gosling decking out in neon costumes.

Barbie is set to hit the theatres on July 21, 2023.
