Metallica’s Master of Puppets rocked by Eddie Munson in Stranger Things 4 Finale

Metallica’s classic 1986 song Master of Puppets is nailed by Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) on a rooftop to attract the evil bats in the finale of Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2.

In the Season 4 finale, the friends go into the Upside Down to fight Vecna, a terrible creature who is allegedly blamed for a slew of fatalities in Hawkins. In one of the show's most dramatic scenes, Eddie plays a rousing rendition of the "Master of Puppets" guitar solo in order to divert flying creatures known as demo-bats.

Eddie Munson, the metal-loving high school kid who was introduced at the beginning of the season, is already well-known to viewers. Over the course of nine episodes, Joseph Quinn's character, who was accused of a murder he didn't commit, made friends with the series' core group of young heroes and learned about the Upside Down.

The Stranger Things Season 4 trailer, which went viral online in April, included a tiny glimpse of Eddie playing his guitar. Fans have speculated since about the tune he might have been playing. For his part, Quinn kept the answer a secret for the entire time, until this episode featured the full scene.
