Catherine, the Princess of Wales, was born Catherine Elizabeth Middleton on January 9, 1982, at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, England. She is the eldest of three children to Michael and Carole Middleton.
Catherine, commonly known as Kate, met Prince William in 2001 when they were both students at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. The duo got engaged in October 2010 and finally exchanged vows on 29 April 2011 at Westminster Abbey.
She gave birth to her and William’s first-born Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge on July 22, 2013 and two years later, the couple welcomed their daughter Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge on May 2, 2015. Catherine then gave birth to a second son Prince Louis Arthur Charles of Cambridge on April 23, 2018.
Alongside undertaking royal duties in support of The King, both in the UK and overseas, her Royal Highness also supports several charitable causes and organizations, revolving around providing children with the best possible start in life.
Kate had a rough start to 2024 after she was diagnosed of cancer after undergoing a planned abdominal surgery for an undisclosed medical condition. The Princess of Wales began her chemotherapy in late February 2024.
She made occasional public appearances during her treatment, including attending the Trooping the Colour in June 2024. In September 2024, Catherine announced the completion of her chemotherapy and revealed she was in remission after she stepped out for her first Royal appearance of the year 2025 to the Royal Marsden Hospital, where she was treated for cancer.
