The MOBO (Music of Black Origin) Awards announced updates for 2026 and detailed nominations on Thursday, January 15.

For the first time, the ceremony is being held in the city to mark the organization’s 30th anniversary.

Notably, the event is scheduled to take place on March 26 at Manchester’s Co-op Live.

In the nomination details, some names pulled four recommendations for their forefront work, including Olivia Dean, Little Simz, Jim Legxacy, and KWN.

Little Simz, the 31-year-old artist is nominated for Album of the Year Lotus, released in June 2025, Best Female Act, Best Hip Hop Act and Video of the Year for Flood.

It is worth mentioning that the British rapper is already a three-times MOBO award winner.

Moreover, Jim Legxacy tied nods with nominations for Best Male Act, Best Newcomer, Song of the Year for 3X in collaboration with Dave, and Video of the Year for Father.

Olivia Dean with no less than and marked Album of the Year for the chart-topping record The Art of Loving, alongside Best Female Act, Best R&B/Soul Act, and Song of the Year for Man I Need.

KWN also marked for Best Newcomer, Best Female Act, Best Soul Act and Song of the Year for the sensual ballad, Do What I Say.
